Yesterday was such a beautiful day. We had a powerful message given at church by a dear woman who is a mother to us all there- Mama Clark. The title of her message was "I am free to run." She has an amazing testimony of how she lost her mother at the age of only 15 but how God raised her up and she became the first African- American woman to be ordained as a minister. She speaks with such wisdom and experience. She passes that on to us all. I am so blessed to have so many woman that pour into my life. That is what we should all be doing. In Titus 2:3-4, Paul gives these instructions as to how a young married woman is to be trained by older women: “...train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands so that no one will malign the Word of God.” The older women are to teach the younger women and to live lives that glorify God. All of you women with much experience and Biblical wisdom I encourage you to look for younger women to reach out to and mentor. I look around and see my generation so hungry for a mothers love. God wants to show it to them through you. Will you be a willing vessel?
